Ogden Museum New Orleans Wedding w/ Allison + Matthew

I think my favorite part of Allison and Matthew’s wedding is that before their ceremony at the Ogden Museum, they got ready together at the Ace Hotel in New Orleans. There was no bridal party, no separate rooms, no hiding from each other before the ceremony. Hell, there wasn’t even a first look. They shared a room and spent the morning getting ready for their big day TOGETHER. It was the most relaxed I’ve ever seen a bride and groom on the day of their wedding. And I get that’s not for everyone but I love that it was right for them and they weren’t scared to afraid a few traditions in order to do it.

I hope that you have the courage to do the same for your wedding day. After all, it’s YOUR wedding! Not your mom’s, not your grandma’s. So do what you want! There are no rules to this day. But if you want to stick to traditions, just know that is okay too. As long as your day is 100% you.
